Phil Akashi collaborated with the Agnes Ulrika outerwear brand. Agnes Ulrika was launched in London 2018 by Ulrika Talling-Smith.

Growing up in Stockholm and influenced by her creative and talented mother, Ulrika has developed a keen eye for aesthetics and design. Her life, work and travels as she lived all around the world, have always included creativity and makes Agnes Ulrika a distinctive and unique brand where design and excellence meet. We’re proud to announce that Agnes Ulrika will now have a showroom as part of Noho House Concept Gallery in the heart of Barcelona.

DRAGON 1 by Agnes Ulrika & Phil Akashi

A light white but still so colorful A-line jacket with multiple details. The hand painted art-fabric is part of Phil Akashi's project 'Legend of the Dragon', and represent a pictographic language, the Dongba script, used by the ethnic minority group Naxi, based in the Yunnan province in China. The Dongba script is the only pictographic writing system still in use in the world today. The colors are vibrant but still so carefully selected next to one and the other. The coat features an extra high split in the back and a signature belt in the front. The off-white fabric softens the collar and pockets are to be found in the sides. Spacious but still so slick ;)

DRAGON 2 by Agnes Ulrika & Phil Akashi

The beautiful oak brown fabric compromises the Asian style art-fabric, painted and sealed, into a classic but outstanding A-line short coat-jacket. With a red lining and red stamp detail on the collar it ties the band with Phil's current project and as part of his solo exhibition at NoHo House in Barcelona, 'Legend of the Dragon'.
The coat is very light weight and offers pockets in the sides. As the dragon's flaps, you turn up the collar to protect and style the windchill.

DRAGON 3 by Agnes Ulrika & Phil Akashi

Short, edgy and cool is this combined jacket of art, vintage and style.

The vintage check fabric was a true find and mixed with Phil's art painted fabric with additional hand woven fabric from one of the many minorities in China, as well as white cotton sleeves.

Big leather pockets in the front together with black push buttons close the look of total control. You dare to wear!
